Lumen & Oak is a demonstration store. This page explains the cookies this site uses and how you can change your choice.
Your choice
When you first visit the store, a banner asks whether to accept optional cookies. You can choose Accept all or Essential only. Your choice is stored in the first-party cookie lo_cookie_consent for up to 180 days. You can reopen the banner at any time with the Cookie settings link in the footer.
Essential cookies
These are required for the store to work and cannot be switched off through the banner.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
lo_cookie_consent |
Remembers your cookie choice. | 180 days |
woocommerce_cart_hash |
Helps WooCommerce know when cart contents change. | Session |
woocommerce_items_in_cart |
Records whether the cart contains items. | Session |
wp_woocommerce_session_* |
Keeps your cart and checkout session. We extend this session to 30 days so a saved cart survives a return visit. | 30 days |
wordpress_*, wp-settings-* |
Used only if you sign in or comment; keeps you logged in and remembers admin preferences. | Session to 1 year |
Optional cookies
These are only set after you choose Accept all.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
lo_checkout_profile |
Remembers the name, email, phone, and billing/shipping address from your last order so the next checkout is prefilled. Card details are never stored. | 30 days |
lo_last_order |
Stores the order number and a private order key so the store can offer a one-click “Reorder your last order” button. | 30 days |
Visitor statistics
With your permission, the store counts page views so we can see which pages are useful. The statistics are cookie-free: no tracking cookie is created. Each visit is reduced to a one-way SHA-256 hash of your IP address, browser user agent, a site secret, and the date. The raw IP address is not stored, and the hash cannot be reversed to identify you. Statistics are kept for 180 days.
Third parties
This demo store does not load advertising, social media, or third-party analytics cookies. Payment is handled by a self-built test gateway and no real card data is collected.
Managing cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent the cart and checkout from working. Choosing Essential only keeps the store usable but disables checkout prefill, the reorder shortcut, and visitor statistics for your visits.
